The Beech Marten, also called the Stone Marten, can be found in mainland Europe and West/Central Asian territories. They often live in places that are occupied by humans. In these areas, they make dens in buildings, can be found in attics, old barns and outbuildings. They are also found in open forested areas and rocky outcroppings. The marten’s natural den sites include tree hollows, rock crevices or abandoned burrows.
