Roller Skating For Fun and Exercise

Roller skating is a fun exercise, a great form of recreation and a sport that the whole family can do together! It’s a workout that also helps you improve your balance skills and burns calories at the same time! It is ben-eficial to improving muscle strength.

Roller skates were invented in the 1760’s in London, England by a man named John Merlin. Monsieur Petitbled was the first to patent a roller skate in 1819 while in Paris, France. But James Plimpton invented a new type of roller skate. It was a four-wheeled skate (also called the quad skate) that was capable of turning.
