Greater Lansing Islamic School (East Lansing)

By: Ibrahim and Omar

One week ago our school, grades 1-8, did a project called the Multicultural Fair. This means that every class had to do projects about different countries. Fifth through eighth graders had to work on their own. The other grades worked as a class. We are in fourth grade and we learned about Russia and Malaysia. We learned about things such as foods they eat, the location, famous people, famous places and many other things. We had to do research to learn about these countries. We made display boards and then invited our parents to listen to us talk about what we learned. We also served cookies from each country. We learned a lot and had fun. Our parents were proud!
