Let's Dance!


Throughout time, people of many cultures have used dance as a way to express themselves emotionally, tell stories, treat illness, celebrate important events and as a form of communication. Most cultures have their own way of dancing. Today, there are even more types of dance that have evolved. A few examples are: ballet, jazz, hip hop, ballroom, jigs, modern, creative movement and tap.


There are many benefits of dance too! Dance helps boys and girls mature physically, emotionally, socially and cognitively.
