Riverside Sends Principal and Teacher Up, Up and Away!

Riverside Elementary students earned a March is Reading Month award and the weather was perfect for lift off. Principal Melissa Martin and Third Grade Teacher Melissa Nimtz joined balloonist Deven Cook for a balloon ride over Battle Creek.

Nimtz accepted the ride on behalf of her students who raised over $136 in food items. In addition to seeing their teacher float away in a balloon, student also earned extra recess.
