St. Thomas Aquinas

On March 14, fourth graders at St. Thomas Aquinas celebrated Pi Day. They started out the day learning about Pi. Activities included taking a survey of our favorite pies of STA and creating pie graphs from the survey results. The students held a class contest to see who could recite from memory the most digits of Pi. The winning student recited 40 digits!

They also learned about pie-related idioms (pie in the sky, pie-eyed, easy as pie, etc.). Lastly the 4th graders created a video to participate in a Pi Day contest with Grand Traverse Pie Company. At the end of the day, the students ate...pie, of course!
