Travel With Us

Welcome to Uruguay, one of the smallest countries in South America. Uruguay shares its borders with Argentina and Brazil. It is known for its scenic vistas, long coastline and fine beaches. The capital of Uruguay is Montevideo -- an important trading and commercial center. Most Uruguayans have ancestors from Spain and Italy who immigrated to the country in the 19th and 20th centuries. Red meat is widely consumed in Uruguay, more so than in most other countries. Soccer is the country's most popular sport; Uruguay is one of the global leaders when it comes to world titles in soccer. A popular music and dance in Uruguay is the tango, which originated in Argentina.
