Lakeview Schools - Operation Fit Candy Drive

Through the Operation Fit Candy Drive, students at Minges Brook, Prairie View, West Lake and Riverside collected Halloween candy. The Candy Drive’s goal is to reduce the amount of candy consumption by students after Halloween. Over 190 pounds of candy was collected from the 4 schools! The class room in each building that collected the most candy will receive a special movement break as a prize.

Pictured are students from Minges Brook, proudly showing off their collected candy with Danni, the Lakeview Schools Operation Fit Coordinator. (Minges Brook collected a total of 16 lbs. of candy.) All of the collected candy will be sorted, packaged and given to veterans with a thank you note.

What a fun way to encourage healthy choices!
