Sergeant Michael Gower visits St. Therese School on Veteran's Day

Sergeant Michael Gower, U.S. Army (retired), visited St. Therese School on Veteran's Day. He taught students about respect for the flag and how to properly fold it. He then helped students replace the old school flag, which was looking worn, with a new flag donated by the Wayland V.F.W. Like so many veterans, Sergeant Gower is a great dad and an awesome role model. We are grateful for and proud of his generous service to our country. Pictured below are Alexander Gower (Kindergarten) and his father, Sergeant Michael Gower, U.S. Army (retired). #VeteransDay

Lakeview Schools - Operation Fit Candy Drive

Through the Operation Fit Candy Drive, students at Minges Brook, Prairie View, West Lake and Riverside collected Halloween candy. The Candy Drive’s goal is to reduce the amount of candy consumption by students after Halloween. Over 190 pounds of candy was collected from the 4 schools! The class room in each building that collected the most candy will receive a special movement break as a prize. Pictured are students from Minges Brook, proudly showing off their collected candy with Danni, the Lakeview Schools Operation Fit Coordinator. (Minges Brook collected a total of 16 lbs. of candy.) All of the collected candy will be sorted, packaged and given to veterans with a thank you note. Wha
